My Story
I love helping clients make their dreams of moving to Canada come true. Having been through the process before, I know personally how stressful, complex, and confusing it can be for people who aren’t familiar with it.
My journey to Canada
Years ago, I first arrived as a worker in Canada through the now-closed International Experience agreement between Canada and Mexico. I came with a one-year work permit, to work for an immigration consulting firm.
During that year working in Canada, I fell in love with immigration. At the time, the process of applying for permanent residence was complicated, so when the year was over, I went back to Mexico. I wound up waiting three years for permanent residency. Finally, in 2015, I was able to come back to Canada.
I chose immigration because it’s what I’m passionate about. After obtaining my certifications I began working in immigration with a variety of organizations.
Now, I have my own company.
The process of moving to Canada had many complications for me. I was refused my first work permit the first time I applied because the organization that helped me was not specialized and I applied in the wrong category based on their guidance. By that point, I had quit my other job, thinking I would be moving to Canada very soon. It was a heartbreaking and incredibly stressful time.
After resubmitting my application, I was ultimately approved. The complications continued when I arrived at the border and the officer put me in the wrong national occupation code–they put me as a cashier, which wasn’t accurate. That error had a long-term effect of complicating my application for permanent residence, which is why it later took three years to obtain my permanent residence status.
I’ve experienced the awful situations immigrants to Canada worry about: incorrectly filled out applications, issues at the border, and delays in being approved. At the end of the day, I obtained permanent residence, but it was a long and overwhelming experience because I didn’t have the proper guidance.
I never want clients to go through what I went through, which is why I became an immigration consultant. I know from experience that the correct information saves you time, heartache, and money.
My mission is to help people like you avoid the scenarios I faced.

My Story
My name is Ceren, I am currently a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant.
Before becoming a consultant, a Canadian citizen, I was also an immigrant.
I came to Canada at the end of 2016, accompanying my husband who was an international student at a college in Toronto, Ontario. I was holding an open work permit and it took me 2 months to find a skilled job to start accumulating Canadian experience. When my husband graduated from the school and obtained his one-year post-graduation degree, he immediately applied for a post-graduation work permit. It was quite challenging at that time as the renewal of my work permit was tied to his permit and he was expected to find a skilled job immediately so that I can continue with my job on a legal status. After attending so many interviews, he did find a position at a reputable company in the field of accounting.
Then after completing one year of Canadian experience in Canada, my points for Express Entry were looking bright and I became the primary applicant for our permanent residency application and this time my husband was accompanying me on this application. I got the invitation to apply for PR in April 2018 and we were confirmed as permanent residents in January 2019. Then we took oath for Canadian citizenship in late 2021. So our whole journey to get our passports took about 5 years.
It was the most wonderful, challenging, exciting 5 years of my life !
Having a Canadian dream is best only if you are open to change and go out of your comfort zone.

My Story
My experience with immigration started at a young age when I realized the courage and hardship it takes to move out of your country and start from scratch in another. I arrived in Canada as a child and got to experience immigration through all its stages and colours. This journey guided my professional choices as I wish to emphasize the importance of empathy, equality, and empowerment with respect to the wide Canadian immigration field.
I have gotten involved in many ways with my community to enhance cultural awareness, community participation, and cultural interactions and I always find that the most rewarding experience comes from helping others achieve their goals. For me, immigration law is a way I can achieve that and the values that Immigration & Mobility put forward align with my goals. As a law student at McGill, I am given the tools to use both Canadian Legal Traditions, providing me with a deep understanding of the legal system and immigration across the country.
However, as a paralegal, I get to learn the intricacies of practice and how the system truly operates. This has been a very enriching experience, and I thrive knowing I can help alleviate people’s immigration journeys to ensure a smooth transition.
