Key Program Details

Duration: From January 13, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

Application Limits:

Food Processing and Beneficiary Attendants: 600 applications each.

Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, and Visual Effects: Divided into two components:

Artificial Intelligence (AI): 300 applications.

Information Technology and Visual Effects (TI-EV): 300 applications.

Each component of the PP IA/TI-EV reserves 150 spots for candidates in the Francization profile (those with French language proficiency) Please note: Due to the high demand for the program and the eligibility not to require a French proficiency proof upfront, all available spots were filled on the same day the program opened.

General Selection Criteria
While each program has specific requirements, some common criteria include:

Age: Be at least 18 years old.

Intention to Settle in Quebec: Candidates must commit to working in eligible sectors for employers without legal or de facto control over them.

Work Experience: Have legal, remunerated, full-time work experience.

French Proficiency: Level 7 on the Quebec Scale of Competency Levels in French or equivalent.

Financial Self-Sufficiency: Demonstrate the ability to support themselves financially.
Specific Requirements for Each Program
Food Processing:

At least 24 months of work experience in eligible sectors (food or beverage manufacturing).

Possess a high school diploma or a professional studies diploma from Quebec.
Beneficiary Attendants:

Divided into two components:

Work: 24 months of work experience in the healthcare or assistance sector.

Study-Work: A vocational diploma from Quebec (870 hours of education) and 12 months of work experience as a beneficiary attendant.

Artificial Intelligence, IT, and Visual Effects:

AI:

For foreign workers:

A university degree equivalent to at least a bachelor’s degree in Quebec.

24 months of work experience in the last 60 months in a job classified as TEER 0, 1, or 2, without control over the company.

Alternatively, a master’s or doctorate degree obtained in Quebec within the last 12 months.

A gross annual salary of at least $75,000 outside Montreal or $100,000 within Montreal.

For Quebec graduates:

Studied at least half the program in Quebec.

A DESS, master’s, or doctorate degree obtained in the last 24 months.

6 months of work experience in Quebec for graduates with a DESS.

TI-EV:

A diploma equivalent to a technical college diploma or bachelor’s degree in Quebec.

24 months of work experience in the last 60 months in eligible sectors.

Salary equal to or above the 90th percentile for the profession.

Eligible Sectors and Jobs
Some sectors are ineligible, such as services related to the sex industry or payday loans. Additionally, employment must align with approved occupational categories, including engineering, IT, and graphic design.
